Born in Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture. At the age of 18, he started working as an Echizen blacksmith because he wanted to have a job in the future.

Entered Asai Uchihamono Seisakusho, known as ``Echizen Marukatsu.'' I learned forging techniques under the master craftsman Masami Asai. Currently, we manufacture a wide variety of knives, from kitchen knives for general households to custom knives.

He has acquired outstanding skills and uses his creativity to create knives. At the 2013 All Nippon Knife Show in Kobe, we won the ARS Award for our integral forged knife with a fishbone motif. In the same year, he founded Yamamoto Uchihamono and became independent.

In March 2019, at the young age of 39, he became a traditional craftsman. Even though he is busy with many orders, on his days off he enjoys fishing as a hobby to refresh his mind and body.
