Born in Echizen City. Joined Kitaoka Knife Manufacturing in 2003. Studied under Hideo Kitaoka, known as Echizen Suketsugu, and mainly mastered Japanese knife forging techniques.
In 2019, at the young age of 39, he was certified as a traditional craftsman. In 2020, I was appointed as the representative of the Echizen Tatara Research Group ``Blacksmith'', and am conducting activities to research the technology of tatara iron making with the aim of passing down the technology related to cutlery to future generations.
Became independent in 2021 and founded "Kutsurogi". He is the most popular and up-and-coming young blacksmith with a promising future.
